DESIGN SERVICES

FOLLY is a landscape architecture practice serving England and Wales, with the capacity to provide remote design work. From schematics to highly detailed drawings, we offer different levels of service to reflect your project needs. We believe everyone deserves thoughtful, bespoke design. If full landscape services are beyond your budget, let’s discuss alternative solutions together.

RIBA Stage 2: Concept design and master planning is essential in getting the best result for your project. It is during this stage where the scope is defined and the vision goes from an idea to paper. The focus is on the layout, spaces and style definition but materials and details have not yet been determined. By the end of Stage 2, one final concept design is generated.

Concept Design

Spatial Coordination

RIBA Stage 3: During the spatial coordination stage, the schematic design is refined into a coordinated, detailed proposal - preliminary materials, finishes and colors are selected and preliminary design details are developed. Plant material is also refined and selected. The end goal of this stage is to integrate architectural, structural, and building services into a fixed design, resulting in a package typically submitted for planning approval or used for an installer to provide preliminary cost information.

RIBA Stage 4: Details are refined during technical design, this stage is where all of the information gathered during the schematic design and design development phase is put together into a full set of landscape architectural drawings and specifications so every element of the project is buildable and coordinated.

Construction

RIBA Stage 5: When transitioning from paper to reality, changes and site queries are inevitable, and designer involvement ensures adherence to the design intent, ensuring the best possible outcome. We also act in the client’s best interest, providing oversight and inspection of the work being installed.
