FOLLY is a landscape architecture studio founded and cultivated in California, flourishing in the beautiful English countryside. FOLLY’s style is unrestricted and free from expectation. The site, environment, and architecture work together to guide form and space. FOLLY strives to deepen our connection to nature, to create designs full of promise and hope for the future.
With almost twenty years in the industry, Rachel has experience working on various project types and scales – from tactical urban installations to plazas, public parks and private gardens.
Raised in Oakland, California, she received formal training in landscape architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. After a starting her career in New York City working as a construction manager for the NYC Parks Department, Rachel returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she worked in single and multi-family residential design, hospitality, civic, commercial, and public work.
She started FOLLY in 2021 in California and, after a hiatus that involved moving to England and working for a multi-disciplinary firm, she started FOLLY UK in 2026.
She holds a Professional Landscape Architect license in the State of California and is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute in the UK.
