At just 500 square feet, the backyard of this Oakland home, a lawn surrounded by minimal planting, was not providing any usable space to the new owners. Ample privacy screening, a dining area, fire place and conversion of the garage into an extension of the garden transformed the space. The front yard received all new planting, entry paving and railings.
